Upon completion you will be able to:

  • Define 'Action Potential' and describe how it relates to antidysrhythmic infusions
  • Apply the antiarrhythmic drug classification system to infusions commonly used in critical care
  • Discuss the impact of each classification on action potential duration
  • Delineate the indications, mechanism of action, recommended titration, monitoring considerations and adverse effects of commonly used antidysrhythmic infusions
